Scholarship to the Academically Most Improved Resident "AS" Brod
The Singapore-based brods: Tony Sta. Ana ‘81-E, Bong Delos Santos ’89-B, Jun Padilla ’91-C and Walter Hiadan ‘93-A, are offering
PhP10, 000.00 worth of scholarship and stipend, as well as surprise bonuses to AS brods – initially for the 2nd semester of academic year 2005-2006.
Guidelines:
  1. The award will be open to all resident AS brods who are of good standing in both university and fraternity.

  2. The total amount would be 10K per semester; 6K = tuition and miscellaneous fees, 4K = book allowance

  3. Award will be given to a brod who has the greatest difference in GWA between the last two semesters with no less than 15 units of academic load for each sem. For this pilot implementation, reference for the past semester will mean the GWA for 2nd sem, AY 2004-2005.

  4. For verification purposes, proof of grades together with form 5’s will have to be submitted to the sponsor brods or to an authorized representative as designated by the sponsors or Chancery. For computation purposes, a grade of “3.0” will be assigned in lieu of “INC”.

  5. In case of a tie, the fourth cardinal rule will be invoked.

  6. Surprise bonus will be given to the winning brod who is also graduating at the time of the award. Another surprise bonus will be provided should the winning brod ENROLLS at U.P. Law for 1st sem of academic year 2006-2007.

  7. In the event that the recipient brod got suspended, declared persona non grata, or expelled by the fraternity within the following semester that the amount was granted, the whole amount shall be reimbursed by the said brod. This amount shall be then awarded to the brod who is ranked next in terms of GWA difference.

  8. If the recipient brod got suspended or expelled by the university, or filed for a leave of absence within the following semester that the amount was granted and for reasons which may or may not be related to the “official” affairs of the fraternity, the resident LC is requested to advise the sponsors as soon as possible for appropriate action.

  9. The sponsors shall have the final decision on any matter arising from this grant.
