Rene V to declare a Decade of Excellence at induction/fellowship affair January 31, 2003

The new set of Directors, Officers and Committee Chairmen for 2003-04 of Alpha Phi Beta Alumni Association, Inc. will be inducted on Friday, 31 Jan., 6 p.m., at Ilang-ilang Hall, Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan. New officers of resident brods will also be inducted.

In-coming LC Rene Valdecantos, who will run the affairs of APBAA for two years, will spell out his vision of a Decade of Excellence in his inaugural speech. Brod Hon. Reynato S. Puno, Senior Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, will be inducting officer and guest speaker.

The new directors: Butch Agnir Jr., Pete de la Cruz, Mon Esguerra, Edcel Lagman, Dante Liban, Roan Libarios, Bee Magtanong, Raul Pagtalunan, Mar Reyes, Manny Sanchez, Joe Ma. Tugas, Louie Uranza Jr., Rene Valdecantos, Raul Villanueva, and Conrado Zabella.

The sectoral representatives-members of the Board are: Troy Mendoza (representing past Lord Chancellors); Fil Guba (Non-lawyers); Sim Buyco (Practicing lawyers); Hessie Mallillin (Lawyers in Busness/Private Sector); Jorge Sarmiento (Judiciary or Prosecution Office); Manny Yngson, Jr. (Outgoing Alumni LC); and Ruben Acebedo (Incumbent resident LC).

The officers are: Rene Valdecantos, Lord Chancellor; Vice Chancellors: Raul Villanueva, Internal Affairs; Butch Agnir, Finance; Raul Pagtalunan, External Affairs; Bee Magtanong, Secretary General; Mar Reyes, Auditor General; Percy Rosales, Dep. Sec. General; Vic Trinidad, Dep. Sec. General.
